Yesterday:

dress - Zara; necklace - from Tokyo; boots - Zara; oxford booties - H&M

Can you tell I was more than a little inspired by the Vogue Nippon editorial I posted earlier? =P

I ended up wearing it like this because these Zara boots are much more rain resistant than the oxford booties.

sleep is no friend

It's been such a long week, I'm so glad the weekend is finally here and I get to relax a little. And what's the first thing I'm going? Taxes...>.< gah.

I just love Vogue Nippon, they always have such enchanting and endlessly beautiful editorials...not the mention the always incredible styling!

just checking in...

^ got this navy blue shiny skirt at H&M on Saturday. I also really liked that mint see through blazer but I'm hoping for it to go on sale =P. It's not like I need it >.< and my closet is already overflowing.

I want to wear the skirt with black tights, a chuncky top a black shirt. I felt inspired by this wonderful outfit by Miss Pandora (yeah, I know her skirt is black not navy =P):

I don't believe in a fairytale end..

Beautiful Maryna Linchuk in Numero Tokyo July 07 via fakingfashion

I went to see The Killers yesterday (yay!) and took this opportunity to wear my new pleather H&M pants which turned out to be a big mistake. I had guessed that the pants would be a little hot for a concert but they were beyond hot...my legs were completely wet after the concert due to this plastic monster. None the less they looked wonderful, haha. I wore them with a new cream blouse/top with layers on the shoulders, my biker boots and silver chains. Unfortunately I forgot the take a picture but I might wear the outfit again sometime as I liked it so much =P.

I hope you all are having a great week!

Paris Fashion Week:Dries Van Noten, Hussein Chalayan, Emanuel Ungaro

Beautitful colors, relaxed and elegant pieces - love it!

Not a bad collection but the true Chalayan spirit was misssing. I guess that's also due to economical suituation and I really hope that Chalayan survives this crisis, he is one of the most innovative designers out there. I did like the collection none the less, the neon pieces and those bodice pieces were great.

Paris Fashion Week: Isabel Marant, Maison Martin Margiela, Comme des Garçons

A really nice and wearable collection, a bit simple but I like it. And I need those studded booties <3.

Such creative construction and cuts! You really should check out the whole collection, there's so many interesting pieces and looks. I think my favorite is that robot shoulder.

Absolutely amazing and so imaginative collection. It's like a fusion of so many garments and materials and done in such an interesting manner that you can stare at each look for minutes analyzing it.

Paris Fashion Week: Rue du Mail, Balmain

I love the color palette, the fabulous structures and materials in this collection.

Decarnin picked up where he left off last season. The shoulders of the glitzy embellished blazers were even more prominent, there were more studs and glitter - all in all a very predictable collection. But it works, it worked last season and so does it this season. Seeing that the body con glitter dresses were copied from NY to Paris I guess it was only logical that in a time of recession he wouldn't step out of his comfort zone. Especially given the huge commercial success. As much as it's nothing new I do really like the collection..it's very very sexy, very rock and extremely cool. What I most liked were the embellished slouchy pants - pure perfection <3!

spring awakening in my shoe collection

With the first flowers also come the first colorful shoes =P

Red shoes, really? I loved the shape of these and tried on a black version of them first. I already had all black outfits with black tights in mind as my friend pointed out the red version to me. I was a bit septic but tried them on none the less. I wasn't completely sold but after some convincing from my friend I decided to go with the red ones and now I'm so glad I did. They are much more special than black ones and the bold color will brighten up any outfit!

These light pink oxford peep-toes were love at first sight! I've been wanting a pair of really light colored shoes for a while, preferably in nude or cream. And this patent light pink is just perfect. I can't wait to wear them with lots of wonderful pastel colored spring outfits.

Milan Fashion Week: Prada

I always look forward to Prada as it's always so unexpected and inspirational. This collection was very tough and warrior like. I really liked the flapper dresses and all those greatly cut coats. But as usual with Prada you got to let it sink in a bit before you can really make a judgement...and even if end up not liking it at all, it will be so all over the place that eventually it'll grow on you =P haha.

Milan Fashion Week: Marni, Fendi

I like Marni's collections, they're always so fun and sophisticated. There is so much going on in each of the looks - color, shapes and lots of textures yet it looks very clean and pulled toghether. And as always at Marni, the accossoires are to die for...<3!

Fendi presented a very modern, urban and as always a very luxurious collection. There was lots of leather and absolutely love how they mixed it with the other fabrics like velver and fur. I loved the shoes, the glitzy deatils and the corset details.

pants H&M; blouse H&M; cardigan Uniqlo; bag Shop:Lush; belt Uniqlo

I can't wait for the days to get longer so I no longer have to take crappy pictures inside by the time I get home from work. Argh, hate the way they turn out, completely blurry and not doing the outfit any justice. My camera absolutely sucks in bad lighting conditions unless you use flash (aka my enemy).

Milan Fashion Week: D&G, Gucci

Although this is D&G and I never like D&G's tacky-ness I feel myself strangely drawn to this very theatrical, almost costume-y collection. Yes, there were quite a few looks which I totally hated but I couldn't stop myself from liking these cute "sofa"-skirts and dresses and the beautiful tulle pieces. If this had been done in a more tasteful and toned down version I would've loved it even more. But this is D&G after all so I just look at it as a very fun collection ^o^

All in all way too much glitter in this collection but there were a few very nice looks. But I'm not a fan of Gucci anyway so I didn't exactly have high expectations.

Lula #8

credit: LOVERUNWAY@TFS

The new Lula magazine is out and from what I saw on TFS it's just as gorgeous as the last issue. Which means it's time for another Lula hunt through countless newsagents ^o^.
Chanel Iman is on the cover and the picture above it from the corresponding editorial. I love the shiny blush-dots and that amazing see through skirt!

panda love

I'd like to introduce you to my best friend Nicky aka Panda Love who has just started her own blog. She used to have a blog but after spending almost a year abroad she decided to start make a fresh start. She makes the coolest sketches/drawings in PAINT..haha I only manage stick-figures. ^o^
