halloween

Halloween is not a tradition where I live, it's not very common to have halloween parties or to go trick or treat-ing. The shops have tried to estabilish the holiday here but it didn't really work out. Most of the stores have stopped selling Halloween merchandise and decorations devoted to the day. I'm not too sad about this as I never understood why people should celebrate something that has no tradition in thier country just because some big bosses try to establish it to sell more. I'm glad that customers are intelligent enough not to jump on every "trend" stores impose on us.
Having said that, I will admit that I love costume parties. And Halloween is a perfect excuse to dress up in a costume.
There have not been too many Halloween parties in my city in the past and the only one I've ever attended was a huge flop, my friends and I were almost the only people there.haha. But this year I will give it another go, there's this party in a small club which should be quite good.

I want to dress up as a maid. I have bought a Japanese Maid costume in Tokyo last year, which is extremly adorable..<3
I'm still debating on whether I should make it a killer maid (it's Halloween after all) with some "scary" make up and a fake knife or just stick to being a cute maid.
What do you think?

Are you dressing up for Halloween?

leather pants

Mary-Kate and Ashley at a book signing for their book 'Influence'

^ This picture made me crave for a pair of leather pants. It looks so lovely paired with that blouse...gah, I'm in love!

I can't wait to get my copy of the book, from what I've seen and read it's great.

I fell in love with a pair of heels.

I saw these at Zara today:

Wonderful Burberry Prorsum knock-offs...but not as clean and polished as the originals - these got a more rugged look which I love even more.

I didn't get them though, they were a bit pricey and way too high for me. I don't like spending a lot of money on shoes I'm only gonna wear on occasion.

Lamilla.se

I just discovered this lovely swedish brand:

Lamilla.se

I love girly dresses and these look absolutely perfect! But they're a bit expensive and I don't know weather I'd really get a lot of wear out of them. Nonetheless, the website it really worth looking at.

fifi lapin

I just ordered these two prints from this lovely website.

Aren't those just the cutest little bunnies? I can't wait to get them and decorate my wall with them.

in the mystery time of cold and rain...

All of a sudden it's gotten really cold outside which means for me: thick knits, tights, hats, gloves and long warm scarves. But underneath all the outerwear, this is what I wore today...feeling kinda grey:

boots, belt and cardigan by Zara; skirt - H&M

haha, this post is so not nice looking. I took all of the pictures in different spots >.< I came home late so all the light from outside was gone and I had to go searching around the house for a deserted place with decent lighting to take the pics...ah anyway at least you get to see my outfit.

last saturday.

This past Saturday I went on a day trip to Geneva with my boyfriend and a friend. It was such a nice day, so sunny and warm. I love autumn like this.

Geneva is such a beautiful city and only 2.5h by train from here.

my new booties <3

Today was such a cold and rainy day - to cheer myself up I got myself these lovelies:

I spotted them a while a go on nitrolicious and have been waiting for them to come out ever since. I saw a really similar boot at Urban Outfitters in Canada but it was really pricey so I decided to wait for these beauties and I'm glad I did. They're perfect <3

They also come in black and turquoise. The black one's looked great but I already got a few black booties so I passed.

^I also got this knitted cape like sweater but I'm going to return it. It's not worth the price and I don't like it that much on me - it looked much nicer on the mannequin.

oh pretty in pink, please be mine

AA Unisex Oversized See Thru T-Shirt

Not sure whether I should get this or not.
I'm obsessed with everything transparent and see-through at the moment but I don't know for how long I would really like this. I think I'm gonna go stop by the new AA store and try it on. I've been planning to go check out the new AA store for a while now but somehow I always forget about it when I'm downtown.

I kick the autumn leaves and I smile ’cause of the things you said to me tonight

Went to the movies with the boyfriend yesterday.

grey shirt-dress: H&M Trend; knit sweater: Monki; patent boots: Mango; bag: Aldo

I lent this bag from my bestfriend who's in Canada at the moment and haven't really found a way to use it up until now. I've always played around with it but was never truly happy with the outcome. With that wonderful raspberry-ice-cream colored sweater it looked like the perfect combination of simple and playful. I really have to use the bag more often, it's the perfect size and I love its flashy color.

PS: Did you guys see the new Mac Books? O.O Too bad I just bought a Mac Book in December.

Paris Fashion Week: Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Miu Miu

The main think I like about this collection is the pleats. Some of the dresses and skirts were really nice too but all in all I'm not too impressed. I think it's very safe and wearable but also a bit boring.

Classic Lanvin: ruffles, dramatic sleeves, vibrant colors and gorgeous shapes. <3

There's so much going on in all of those outfits but I think I like it. If you look past the styling there are many lovely individual pieces.
I absolutely hate the bags - not that I ever really do like LV bags - but seriously these are bad.

Paris Fashion Week: Alexander McQueen, Kenzo, Chloé

Not a mind blowing collection but definitely a more wearable one from McQueen. I did like all the crazy prints and the robotic shapes. I also thought the hourglass dresses were absolutely gorgeous.

The layering, the prints - everything is so light and beautiful! All the clothes have incredible detailing and such a timless romanticism about them. What I'm always impressed with at Kenzo is the lightness in which textures, prints and embellishments are mixed.

I'm trying hard not to be too critical as this is Hannah McGibbons first collection as Chloé's designer but I really can look past some things: Everything looks so heavy and big. I somehow assoicate the typical Chloé girl look with light and flowy fabrics. Also those dinosaur tops are hideous. And what's wrong with those "diaper shorts"? Overall, I'm very disappointed but I will also say that I do like some pieces in this collection such as those criss-cross tops and this amazing jumpsuit.
