today's lunch: brown rice with bok choi, mushroom and cauliflower stir fry
Recipe:
Stir fry bok choi stems, a king trumpet mushroom (エリンギ) and cauliflower with oil, grated ginger (1-2cm) and garlic (1 clove). Add two tablespoons of Mirin (if you don't have Mirin, vegetable stock or broth will do) and let cook for 1 minutes on medium heat. Add the chopped bok choi leaves and cover immediately and let it cook until the leaves are just slighltly tender. Season with salt and serve on top of a brown short grain rice (玄米).
Top it off with a fried egg, a drizzle of soy sauce and some gochuchang - voilà <3
I love mixing it up bibimbap-style!:

Marni for H&M!!
Oh wow, I just got the most exciting news: H&M is going to have it's next collaboration with Marni!
I love Marni and so I can not wait to see the pieces in detail. Now this is a collection I am really exicited about. I'm not usually one to get super exited over H&Ms designer collaborations but this is looking very promising (especially the accessories). The collection will be released on the 8th of March 2012!
You can get a first glimpse at the collection in the video below:

Zara coat and skirt, converse, minelli bag, H&M top
Since moving to Japan a little over two months ago, I'm slowly sarting to notice the influence of being surrounded by Asian fashion 24/7 on my personal style. Never would I have thought that I'd wear MINT colored converse with a black, white, grey and beige outfit. Hell, I never would've thought I'd actually wear mint Converse >.<. But I'm really fond of them now. I fell in love with colorful footwear when in Seoul, where everyone was wearing crazy colorful sneakers with their black pencil skirts and asymetric flowy blouses. Sounds like it would look horrible but somehow these stylish Korean girls made it work for them. I wouldn't go that far but I do like adding a splash of color and casualty to my outfits now and then with these fun converse.
